Very Hungry Caterpillar Day

Today was our first theme day since B was born. Here he is all dressed up.(It was these clothes that prompted this day in the first place!) W ate a caterpillar for breakfast! (I wanted donut holes, but this was healthier....) The green plate is supposed to represent grass. We watched the Very Hungry Caterpillar story online during television time http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qoYPLtqqVk

and then pretended to be caterpillars. Here's B as a cocoon.

At art time, W cut out pictures, then put them in order of the story and laced them together.
He then enjoyed caterpillars for lunch. His favorite was the meatballs and using a toothpick to eat. After lunch, we read other Eric Carle books that Trisha let us borrow. Next was rest time, and then the cootie game. (They look like caterpillars, right?) For snack, he stuck together cheese balls with pretzel sticks for a caterpillar snack! He loved it!
