In Like a Lion....

Yesterday, we celebrated the first day of March with a lion theme day! (Check out our lamb theme day from last year, too!)

We ate a lion breakfast in our lion pajamas,
then, changed into our lion shirts, played with a lion and read lion books. (We learned the terms lioness, cub and pride and the difference between African and Asian lions.)
We sang a March/lion song,  made lions out of tissue and contact papers (used this template.)
and Legos, (instructions here).
We also played some lion Sodoku, (I would have never thought of it, if it weren't for this post! W is already ready for a bigger, harder board-Love how he let B help!)
watched an episode of Between the Lions, and did a lion worksheet. It was a great day, no lion! (ha!)
