Bottle Apple Teacher's Gift Tutorial

I wanted to continue our tradition of bringing an apple for the teacher, but this year I wanted to send something they could keep and reuse if they chose. It was easy to make!
UPDATE-Just saw some cute apple shaped bottles of juice at Kroger that would be perfect for this!

1. Gather your supplies.

red tape
plastic bottle, label removed, washed and dried
brown ribbon
glue (could also use hot glue)
green cardstock
brown cardstock
candy of your choice (not shown)

2. Cut small pieces of tape and adhere to bottle, making sure all spaces are covered.
3. Glue ribbon to bottle neck.4. Make label. Slide long part of leaf into small space between ribbon and bottle. (You could glue this, but I didn't.)5. Cover bottle top. Glue circle of brown cardstock to top, cover sides with ribbon. 6. Fill bottle with candy. (We used red hots. You could also fill it with sand and hot glue the lid closed to make a paper weight.)
7. Screw lid onto bottle.
Now it's ready to take to school- a great homemade gift for your new teacher!
