What I Bring to the Thanksgiving Table

I love Thanksgiving because it is a holiday that centers around FOOD!
Next to updating my annual turkey handprint place mat, (Look at how much they have grown!)
I've kept my pumpkin pie decorated hands busy this season!
Directed W in making a fun snack for the boys' lunchboxes,

made pie crust cranberry cookies for Jen and Dan's (that never made it out of the car, oops!)

and for the big even at Kari's, Thanksgiving Drink:

 1 bottle of Martinelli's Sparkling Cider
1 3-liter bottle of Sprite
2 cans cranberry juice concentratec
* Can add fresh whole cranberries to make it festive!

homemade cranberry sauce,
1 12-oz bag cranberries
1 cup water
 1 pinch ground cloves
 1 stick cinnamon
1 cup orange juice
 1 cup sugar.
Preheat oven to 350. Wash cranberries and place in a 9 x 13 baking dish. Add water, cloves, cinnamon, juice, and sugar. Bake 1 hour. Remove cinnamon, let cool, and mash berries or process in blender if desired
 
crockpot mashed potatoes, an entire pie from our church's Thanksgiving dinner, and "pumpkin pie" cheese and crackers!
The boys got into the act, too, making edible decorations from tootsie roll and caramels!
