Movies and Mail, Sand, "Slimer Juice" and a Snow Cone

Last Week of Summer Day 3 and 4

We made it to the movies!
Our favorite part was when Miss Piggy skates down the mugger in the park! After this summer, I'm all popcorn-ed out!

Got a package in the mail- the bedskirt to finish B's room,
and W's lunchbox!
(So happy that it is bigger than I thought-the lunch cubes fit inside!)

Another new recipe for dinner, served with rice.
Chicken Adobo
1/2 cup of dark soy sauce
1/2 cup white vinegar
1 onion (chopped)
2 cloves of garlic (minced)
3-4 lbs of meat of your choice
Salt and pepper to taste.
Chop up the onions and garlic, set aside.  Put the soy sauce and vinegar into a pan or slow cooker then place the onions and garlic.  Put your meat into the pan and heat until boiling, cover with a pan lid and let simmer until the meat is completely cooked.  If you’re using a slow cooker or crock pot, put on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours until meat is tender and cooked thoroughly.  Serve over rice with steamed vegetables.

Thursday morning, the park with the Cordes family!
They played in the sand for much longer than I thought!

W said he made ------------
Traversing a poop mine field for a picnic lunch!
feeding the ducks
On the way home we stopped at Meijer so the boys can take advantage of the 50% Lego Dimensions. Look what I found, Ecto Cooler! I haven't seen those since I was little! Yum!
B is really into Ghostbusters right now. He even made his own proton pack!
That night, we visited the Middle School for the first time to pick up W's schedule and take a tour. We saw W's classroom and locker,
then he enjoyed a free (6th grade only) Kona Ice!
Only a couple more days before school starts!
